Once a predominantly Catholic country, Brazil now sees increasing Christian diversity and the Pentecostalization of much of its religious landscape, even influencing Catholicism. However, most major Evangelical and Pentecostal churches resist ecumenical and interreligious dialogue, often expressing hostility, especially toward Afro-Brazilian religions.
